Rawasi collects nothing about you. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no crash reporter, and it shares nothing with anyone. This page says what the app keeps, where it keeps it, and what it asks of the network.
On this phone
Everything you make in Rawasi stays on this phone: your bookmarks, notes and intentions, what you memorise and revise, your reading, prayer and habit logs, the name you give, and your settings. So do the things you choose to download: recitation audio, page fonts, books, extra content and the recitation model. Recitation check listens through the microphone only while it is open; what it hears is worked out on the phone and is never recorded or sent. If you share your location, it is kept on the phone for prayer times and the qibla. Settings › Storage shows what is kept, and Delete all data removes all of it.
iCloud
If you switch on Keep in my iCloud, a copy of your own data is written to your iCloud Drive, in your Apple account, so your other devices can read it. Rawasi has no server that sees it. Switch it off in Settings at any time, and delete the copy from the Files app.
The network
Rawasi has no accounts, no analytics and no crash reporter: it says nothing about you to anyone. It reaches the network for these things, and only when you use them: recitation audio, streamed from the reciters' own servers when you press play, because none of it is bundled; the mushaf page fonts, fetched the first time you open a page; extra content you choose to download (reflections, word meanings, reciters' timings) and the recitation model, both from Rawasi's own server; the library's catalogue and the books you download, from Quranpedia's servers and the Internet Archive; the name of a city, from Apple's location service, when you search for one or use your location for prayer times; and updates to the app itself. If you switch on iCloud, your copy goes to your iCloud and nowhere else. The text, the translations, prayer times, the qibla, and everything you write or mark never leave this phone.
The servers it reaches see what any server sees when it is asked for a file: an internet address and the file. Rawasi sends them nothing else about you. About lists every host by name.
What Rawasi does not do
No sign-in, no profile on a server, no analytics or usage statistics, no advertising identifiers, no tracking across apps or websites, and no sale or sharing of data. Errors are kept in a short log on this phone, and leave it only if you send them to us yourself.
